| Welcome to the new Henson Robinson Zoo site! Saturday, May 10 Don't miss the first free admission day of the season this Saturday! Be one of the first 500 people and get a free t-shirt!! The zoo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and there will be activities throughout the day. Zoo Parent May Animal of the Month Sponsor the White-handed gibbons in May and receive the benefits of a $50 sponsorship for $25  The benefits include: - A Zoo Parent Certificate - An animal fact sheet - 5x7 photo of the animal - 2 day passes to the zoo Call the zoo at (217)753-6217 to sponsor the gibbons! Sponsor the Bobcats! In the spring of 2007, the Henson Robinson Zoo received two baby bobcats. Initially, the zoo was to be a temporary holding facility until a permanent home was found for the pair. In the ensuing weeks & months, zoo staff and visitors alike vocalized a desire to keep the bobcats at the Henson Robinson Zoo.
