February 29

Hop on over to the Henson Robinson Zoo and celebrate leap day with some froggy activities. Get us close and personal with some of the zoo's resident frogs and learn what you can do to help solve the amphibian crisis in your own backyard. 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Regular Admission.


Party for the Planet
April 19

Join us in honoring the earth as we learn about protecting our planet. Day long activities include animal programs, kids' crafts and activities. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Regular Admission.


Dr. Dolittle Day
May 10

Visit the zoo on the first free admission day of the season. Help us make endangered animals voices heard and learn what we can do to help them. Get your conservation passport and visit the endangered animals that live here at the Henson Robinson Zoo. Turtle races, animal programs and food vendor throughout the day. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Free admission.


Mother's Day at the Zoo
May 11

Bring your Mom out the zoo to see some fun animal Moms. Moms get in free with a paid child. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.


Member Mondays
Mondays June- August 9:00 a.m.

Join the Springfield Zoological Society and be admitted to the zoo early on Monday mornings! Enjoy smaller crowds and special activities as a benefit of joining the Springfield Zoological Society.


Dream Night at the Zoo
June 6

By invitation only. Free night at the zoo for chronically ill or disabled children and their families. Food & activities. 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.


Wild About Reading Amphibians: Frogs & Salamanders
June 11 6:30 p.m.

Jump into a good book and learn about some of the amphibians that reside at the Henson Robinson Zoo. Regular Admission.


Father's Day at the Zoo
June 15

Do you have a WILD Dad? Celebrate his day by bringing him to the zoo. Children can make a gift for their Dad. Dads get in free with a paid child. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.


Zoofari
July 12

Come and play the animal way! Enjoy free admission to this fun filled day of animal themed games and watch how the animals play. Visitors will get to make enrichment treats and watch as zoo keepers provide treats for the animals. Activities & food vendors. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Free admission.


Wild About Reading Small Furry Mammals
July 16 6:30 p.m.

Scamper & scurry to the zoo for some furry fun! Join us for some stories and a craft. Regular Admission.


Zoolympics
August 2

Get ready for the upcoming summer olympics with the Henson Robinson Zoo's Zoolympics. Try your best to leap like a wallaby, waddle like a penguin and more!

Wild About Reading Birds

Take flight with bird fun. Meet some of the zoo's birds, story time and a craft. Regular Admission.

Birdie fore the Zoo

4th annual golf outing to benefit the Henson Robinson Zoo. Best ball scramble.

Walk on the Wild Side
September 27

Join the Henson Robinson Zoo in supporting conservation efforts at the 1st annual Walk on the Wild Side. All registered walkers will receive a T-shirt, free entrance to the zoo the day of the event & free refreshments. Registration fees $25/adult, $20/child. With every $50 raised above your registration fee, receive a raffle ticket for the Grand Prize, a behind the scenes, guided tour for 6 with zoo director, Talon Thornton. All proceeds will benefit the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Amphibian Fund.


Fur, Feather, Fin Fall Fling
October 4

Join us for the final free admission day of the season. Craft vendors, puppet plays, kids' crafts and food vendors. 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.


Zoolie Ghoulie
October 25 & 26 2:00-6:00 p.m.

Don't miss one of the zoo's most popular events. Safe tick-or-treating inside the zoo's gates. $2.00 per trick-or-treater, $1.00 per non trick-or-treater.


Pancakes, Paws & Santa Claus
December 6 8:00-10:00 a.m.

Pancake breakfast with Santa Claus and animal visitors. By reservation only.


Holiday Lights at the Zoo
December 5-7, 12-14, 18-23 & 26-28 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Tour the zoo decked out in it's holiday splendor. Thousands of lights and light displays illuminate the zoo. $2.00 per adult, $1.00 per child.
