![]() Springfield Zoological Society ADOPT AN ANIMAL Feeding a family of 300 is certainly no easy task and can be quite expensive. The Henson Robinson Zoo spends approximately $45,000 annually on animal food. Over 50 different food items from live crickets to bales of hay are required to feed our animal family. Providing veterinary care adds another $12,000. Your help is greatly needed and very appreciated. There are three different levels that you may choose to adopt at; Zookeeper's Club, Director's Club, and President's Club. Any individual, business, classroom, youth group, or organization can adopt any animal in our family at any one of the three following levels.
Animals supported by this program are live specimens and are subject to the same frailties as humans. That is, they may become ill or die. Some must be moved, or may be loaned or traded to another zoo for breeding purposes. If your "adopted" animal leaves the zoo, your gift will still be used for the remainder of your sponsorship.
More information can be obtained at the zoo admissions window or by calling (217) 546-0063. |
