INTRODUCTION

In this exhibit one finds three species of lemurs and two of tamarins, all of which are vanishing species. The three species of lemurs include, the Red Ruffed lemur (Varecia variegata rubra), the Black lemur (Lemur macaco macaco), and the Ring-tailed lemur ( Lemur catta). The two species of tamarin are the Golden Lion tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia) and the Emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator).
